Well, to begin with, I would aptly put it as my own experience and I don’t mean to hurt any person’s perception over here. But the question raised by me really pinches in my nerves that are we really co-operative?
Last time I had discussed about Civic Sense, and to put on a positive note, it’s good that people are trying to maintain that Sense upto their practical capabilities.
So, here is my side now, being a mariner, the head of my department once asked me a simple question: “Do you know why the country is still not developed with good infrastructure?” , and to my simplicity I just said blamed it on the government, corruption and many other reasons. But his answer was: “The country can only do good development if and only if the people keep aside the mentality of: HOW MUCH DO I EARN IN COMPARISON TO MY NEIGHBOUR”
I was shocked to hear that, because I never heard about that before, and soon after I came back to home, the statement fitted my residing place without any tolerance. I have neighbours in front of me, and none-the-less everyone in the lane is following the same bold question that was said by my H.O.D; and to add the misery, the children of the respective families are also getting involved into this misconduct at such a small age.
Nobody wants to budge from their seat and still they expect themselves to be some great soul. CRAP. When I was small, we also competed, but not this way, it used to be either a game of some sport or competition on an academic front, but today’s world has taken a lot more different meaning. With this kind of comparison, I m sure that the country has got a lot or catching up to do.
So, ALL the BEST to the folks of the future.
